About the Company
Combined games run traditional lotteries and scratch cards on the Swedish regulated gaming market under the supervision of the Swedish Gambling Authority. Their most successful product is the Combined Lottery, launched in 1981 and today one of Sweden's largest subscription lottery companies. Owners and beneficiaries before the completion of the transaction were the Social Democrats and SSU.
About the Acquirer
IOGT-NTO is a non-profit organization that works for a society free from alcohol and other drugs. Through preventive work and social efforts, they work to reduce addiction and increase public health. At a time when abuse among young people and mental ill health is linked to substance use, the work of the organization becomes even more urgent.
The Transaction
Through the acquisition of the Swedish Combined Lottery and related lottery activities, IOGT-NTO strengthens its long-term financial base to be able to conduct and develop its alcohol and drug prevention work throughout Sweden. The addition of the Swedish Combined Lottery, together with the already established operations in the Million Lottery, provides the organization with a broader platform for funding its non-profit efforts.
